Fawzia Tahsin is the Immunization Advocates 2021 Summer Communications/Advocacy Intern. She is an undergraduate student in the McIntire School of Commerce where she will be concentrating on IT with a track on Business Analytics. She is also doing a second major in Global Studies department with a track in Global Public Health. She is current research student in the Undergraduate Student Opportunities for Academic Research (USOAR) program focusing on religious and social activism within the UVA Muslim Community. Fawzia also holds many leadership positions where she is co-director of programming for the Muslim Institute of Leadership and Empowerment (MILE) and a tutor for the UVA Spanish Tutoring Program. She’s also a member of the Muslim Student Association, Bengali Student Organization, Circle K International Service Organization, and Women’s Business Forum at McIntire.
