Dr. Denise Garrett is the Vice President of Applied Epidemiology at the Sabin Vaccine Institute in Washington, DC. In this role, she leads a team focused on generating epidemiological evidence to inform vaccine decision-making, optimize vaccine use, and increase the impact of immunization. Prior to joining Sabin, Dr. Garrett worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a medical epidemiologist for over 20 years, where she focused on infectious diseases, responding to outbreaks and epidemics, and leading several research projects, both domestically and internationally. Dr. Garrett has close to 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and frequently presents and participates on panels at international conferences.
